It's the same vein of Kaling's hilarious short essays, only geared more towards those of us who don't enjoy life on the sets of highly successful TV shows. Crosley's series of essays spotlight a common theme in literature: just a woman trying to figure out how to navigate life- but told in the most hilarious terms. Crosley's book is the one that got me into this kind of literature, as I was never a huge fan of the short stories and essays genre before. She has the most fantastic ability to convey life in a way that makes it seem manageable..if only one can have her grace and good humor. This book would make a great gift for any woman who's in need of a some wine, a long bath, and a good laugh.
